Join us at the Central Saanich Boys & Girls Club for a variety of social and recreational after school and evening programs. The club is a safe place for youth to engage in supervised youth-directed activities with their peers.

After School Youth Drop-in

A safe and fun place to hang out after school. Staff and volunteers run different activities each day. A nutritious snack is also provided. 

 Activities include:
   
- Innovative games
  - Homework help 
- Outdoor activities 
  - Cooking/Baking 
- Foosball 
  - Out trips 
- Computers 
  - Movie days 
- Xbox 360 
  - Arts and crafts 
- Pool 
   

Age: 9-14 
Dates/Times: 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday (open only on days school is in session)
Fees: $100.00 /youth, $150.00 /family per semester (Sep-Jan / Feb-June). Subsidy avaliable.

Boys Only 

A group of boys aged 10 - 13 gather weekly to let out some energy, play active games, go on out trips and socialize with boys from all over their community. This program is developed around the interests of the boys involved. 

Age: 10-14 
Dates/Times: Fridays, 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm (during school terms)
Fees: Free 

Girls Only 

A group of girls aged 10 - 13 gather weekly to do arts and crafts, bake, play active games, go on out trips, and get to know other girls from all over their community. This program is developed around the interests of the girls involved! 

Age: 10-14 
Dates/Times: Fridays, 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm (during school terms)
Fees: Free 

Outdoor Adventure 

The Outdoor Adventure program offers adventure programs and activities once a week. Trained adventure program staff will create a safe and healthy learning environment for participants to build on their existing strengths and challenge themselves a little further. Through experiential, adventure-based learning activities, the youth will develop greater self-awareness and self-confidence, and build healthy relationships with the environment and their peers. Activities include orienteering, canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, community service,  and more. Nutritious snacks and transportation are provided. 

Age: 10-14 
Dates/Times: Wednesdays, 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm (January to April)
Fees: Free 

Literacy and Numeracy 

A, B, C’s and 1, 2, 3’s! We offer free Literacy and Numeracy programs for youth in Grade 4&5. Through assessment and observation we discover each child’s comprehension and skill level and create a syllabus that is adequately engaging, challenging, and most importantly, fun! We take a 'strengths-based approach' to learning where each child receives a positive mentorship from our enthusiastic staff and a take home package to practice their skills. Small group sizes ensure more individual focus and attention.

Dates/Times: Wednesday, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, February 22nd - April 11th (8 weeks)

Eat Around the WorldEat Around the World

This exciting lunch time cooking group explores the world through food. Students cook dishes from a variety of countries and at the same time learn about the culture of that country. They also get to create a blog where they can describe their experience and share it with their friends and family. This program runs out of Bayside Middle School.

Age: 10-14 
Dates/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch at Bayside Middle School
Fees: Free 

Registration Information:

There is a small yearly non-refundable membership fee required when registering your child with Boys & Girls Club Services. The membership fees are: $25.00 per child or $45.00 per family. Subsidy applications are available at the Club. Click here to download the Membership Form.
