Social, Recreational and Educational Opportunities for Children and Youth in Esquimalt
The Harbourside-Esquimalt Boys & Girls Club is a licensed after-school facility offering before and after school care programs for children aged 5-12 as well as several social, recreational and educational evening programs for youth up to age 17.

Spring Break Camp
Registration is now open for Spring Break Camp at Harbourside. Children can participate in exciting spring activities including an out-trip every day. Contact Harbourside to register at 250-380-9250 or by email.
Time: March 12 - March 23, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Fees: $30 per child per day
Before and After School Care (licensed)
Compassionate and reliable staff make this popular after school club a caring and safe place for children by fostering positive and healthy relationships, implementing intentional programming and providing nutritious snacks. Children registered in this program get the chance to participate in activities such as: arts & crafts, drama games, cooking, activity based learning and exciting out-trips around Greater Victoria.
Time and Fees:
Morning Care, 7:00-8:45 AM, Monday-Friday, $135.00
After School Care, 2:30-5:30 PM, Monday-Friday, $245.00
Holiday or Pro-D Days, $30.00 per child / per day
Girls Group - Ages 8-12
A group that gathers every week to do arts & crafts, baking, play active games, enjoy a nutritious snack, go on out-trips & get to know other girls from the local community. This program is developed around the interests of the girls involved.
Times: Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 pm, October - December, January - April
Fees: $25 / Semester
Boys Group - Ages 8-12
Get together once a week to let out some energy, play active games, enjoy a nutritious snack, go on out trips and socialize with boys from all over the Western communities. This program will be developed around the interests of the boys involved.
Times: Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 pm, October - December, January - April
Fees: $25 / Semester
Literacy and Numeracy Programs - Ages 5 - 11
Numbers at Night & Word Play
The focus of these programs is on having fun while building basic literacy and numeracy skills. Participants will get together In small groups and play games or take part in a range of activities that will allow them to develop vital skills for their future. These programs are generously funded by Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada Foundation and TELUS Community Foundation.
Times: Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:30 pm for 8 weeks, starting October 5th

Hockey Mentoring
Hockey Mentoring is a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters, with funding from the City of Victoria and the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Prorgram. This pilot program offers children from George Jay Elementary the chance to learn the basics of hockey and the fundamentals of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. Every Thursday after school, seventeen children from George Jay will enjoy an hour on the ice at Save on Foods Memorial Arena learning from a certified hockey instructor. Registration for this program is closed.

There is a small yearly non-refundable membership fee required when registering your child with Boys & Girls Club Services. The membership fees are: $25.00 per child or $45.00 per family. Subsidy applications are available at the club.
