Summer Camp for teens ages 13 – 16
Registration starts March 5, 2012
Discover. Learn. Lead.
As a participant of one of our leadership camps you will meet new friends, establish lasting relationships, learn valuable skills and lead your peers during the program end camp-out! You and eleven other participants will spend two weeks together developing leadership, group management, intentional programming and environmental stewardship skills. Working with the kids in our Urban & Outdoor Adventure Summer Camps will give you a chance to practice your new leadership skills. You will be paired with a group leader who will assist you to run a program during a regular summer camp day and during an out trip. The finale of your program will be an overnight trip that you and your peers plan from start to end. With the guidance of your leaders, you will organize the trip, plan the route, arrange the food and pack the equipment. The night/s out will be spent reflecting upon your learning with other leadership camp participants.
Activities:
Rock climbing, low ropes, archery, games of low organization, canoeing, swimming, overnight expedition, forest games, trip planning, intentional programming.
As part of your application to join our camp you are required to fill in an application form (coming soon) to demonstrate your commitment to developing your leadership skills. There are only 12 spaces available for each program therefore not all applicants will be successful.
