PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Harbourside-Esquimalt Club is one of our two licensed Community Clubs offering
after-school and evening social, recreational, and educational programming to the youth of their communities. The Harbourside-Esquimalt Club offers licensed morning and after school care for youth aged 5-11 and evening programming for youth aged 8-13, who will experience activities such as baking, cooking, active games, arts and crafts, leadership training, as well as supervised free time to activities such as playing pool and air hockey, dress - up and board games.

Harbourside-Esquimalt Club offers a multitude of programming for youth aged 5 to 13. The Club offers:

GROUP CHILD CARE-SCHOOL AGE (LICENSED)
 
Our morning care provides a safe supervised place for children to go to before school and they are accompanied to their classroom by our staff. The children will have opportunities to participate in crafts, games, movies, baking and reading.
 
In our after school care program children will have supervised free time at the beginning and the end of each day to enjoy playing games, foosball, dress-up, arts and crafts, and fun with friends. A nutritious snack will be provided to every child each day. Each day will have a structured program time including arts and crafts, active games, out-trips, cooking, and more!
 
The Harbourside - Esquimalt Boys & Girls Club only services Macaulay Elementary School.
 
TIMES & FEES
TIMES: Before Care: Monday-Friday 7:00 - 9:00 am
After Care: Monday-Friday 2:50 - 5:30 pm
except Wednesdays 1:45 - 5:30 pm
MEMBERSHIP FEE: A yearly non-refundable membership fee will be required when registering your child with Boys & Girls Club Services. The membership fees are: $25 per child or $45 per family.
LICENSED CARE FEES:

Morning Care = $135 per month

After School Care = $240 per month

Part Time or Drop In Fee = $10 per child for before school care, $15 per child for after school care

Holiday & Pro D Day Fee = $25

You must give ten days notice prior to the first of the month you would like cancelled in order to receive a refund. Payments are required at the beginning of each month. Sponsorship applications are available at the club.

DROP-IN EVENING & SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS
Here’s a list of evening program located at the Club or the Brentwood Elementary gym to check out for kids aged anywhere from 8-16. All drop-in evening programs are included with yearly membership fee.
     
Thursdays

CRAZY RANDOM FUN NIGHT

This youth-directed, staff-supported evening program is a chance to participate in fun adventures, movie nights, play outdoor games and make friends.

 
Wednesdays
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Ages 8-12
SPORTS NIGHT If you enjoy playing a variety of sports and games then this night is for you!
 

CAMPS GALORE

Cost: $25 per day from 7:00 - 5:30 pm. Each day is a different special event so come prepared for fun, adventure memories to last a life time. Check out our clubs for specific details on out-trip locations and what to bring.

 

 
ABOVE AND BEYOND- YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS
TORCH CLUB
Ages 10-12. Can't wait to be a youth leader? Join this club to get a head start on taking a leadership role at the Harbourside - Esquimalt Club, and the community. The core components include planning socials, volunteerism, fundraisers and acquiring some amazing leadership skills.

Cost is $55.00
THURSDAYS 3:30-5:00

KEYSTONE CLUB
Ages 13-17. This program is designed for teens interested in developing leadership skills, working with children, obtaining some employment skills and having fun. The core components of this course are planning social outings, volunteerism, learning leadership skillls and fundraisers. The group also has the opportunity to gain some valuable experience volunteering at our Earth Adventures Summer Day Camp!

Cost is $55.00
TUESDAYS 6:00-8:00

PARENTING PROGRAMS

Parenting Without Power Struggles
Developed by Boys & Girls Club of BC
Tuesdays: 6:45pm - 8:45pm October 6th, 2009- December 8th, 2009
Parenting a pre-teen? Want to prepare for the teen years? This is a program that provides opportunities for support, information and skill development.
Cost: $50.00 (Workbook Included)
