PROGRAM NAME: Rite of Me (ages 10-14)
   
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Rite of Me Program uses a collaborative approach to integrating young urban-based 10-14 year old girls to the wilderness and experiential education realm. We offer challenging outdoor activities while building confidence and enriching young girls experiences. We value and teach healthy choices and lifestyles.

   
PROGRAM INFORMATION:

Through the use of speakers, mentors, and activity based learning, the girls will:

  • Practice Life Skills
  • Create Lasting Memories
  • Build Self-Esteem
  • Opportunities for Leadership

Rite of Me participants will enjoy activities such as...

  • Canoeing
  • Drama
  • Climbing
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Hiking
  • Cooking

And so much more!

Rite of me is offered in 8-week sessions, twice a year. The groups meet once a week, Wednesdays from 2:30 till 6:00p.m. A nutritious snack will be provided as part of the program for active learning of cooking and nutrition.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Inspired by girls, this program helps young females to develop an understanding of themselves and their varying situations, through alternative experiences with supportive staff and a safe environment!

  • Build Self-Esteem
  • Opportunities for Leadership
