Monopoly Madness 2010

This evening gala is a great opportunity to support two important organizations and have a blast at the same time. 50th Anniversary

We think 50 years of service to the community is certainly worth celebrating! We have several events planned to commemorate this special anniversary. We are looking for volunteers from the community to join the following sub-committees:

  • PR & Communications
  • Event Management / Logistics
  • Sales & Sponsorship
  • Alumni / Archives

If you could offer your skills, expertise, time or energy, please get in touch!

Community Clubs After-school Program - Youth Programmer Assistant - not currently recruiting
Participate and provide support in program activities with youth.

Community Clubs Evening Programs - Youth Programmer Assistant - not currently recruiting
Help out at one of our Boys' or Girls' nights or assist with our youth leadership programs.

Update March 2010: The next round of recruitment for Community Club volunteers will begin in August 2010, ready for a September start. If you would like to apply, please check back here. Alternatively, we will gladly add your name to a reserve list and contact you when opportunities arise.

Bread Donation Assistant
Help out all of our programs by picking up donated bread on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and bringing it to Yates St.

Rite of Me - Youth Programmer Assistant - Next program hopefully spring 2011 - check back for more details!
Assist with activities for girls aged 10-13. Activities are planned around team building, self confidence, empowerment, and the environment.

Metchosin Camp Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship volunteer - ongoing and project opportunities
Support the development and maintenance of this fantastic property and contribute to our programs that host hundreds of children and youth each year. Enquire for details.

Specialized Project Delivery
If you have a particular skill or talent you could share with participants through one of our programs we would love to hear from you. This could include: pottery, wood work, arts and crafts, photography, music, language and culture, etc.

Administration
Occasionally we need extra help in reception and main office administration. Please get in touch if you feel that your skills could be of assistance.

Community Researcher - Nothing at this time
Help us find out what our community needs. Occasional research project opportunities are available. A great way to give back to your community whilst gaining valuable research experience.

Board of Directors and Advisory Committees
Potential board members have skills in one or more of the following areas: Fundraising, Financial, Human Resources, Legal, Management, etc. Enquiries to Ralph Hembruff (Executive Director) or Kate Mansell (Director of Development) 250-384-9133.

Boys & Girls Club Services of Greater Victoria welcomes volunteers to assist with these positions. If there are other ways you feel you could support our organization, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
